The beginning of the quick strips

By adminSaturday - November 18th, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

I am going to engage in an exercise in order to increase my speed of penciling and inking. I’m going to attempt to do a strip a day. It may be one panel…it may be a multi-panelled monster but nevertheless I’m going to attempt it.
Here goes:

A Scapegoat’s Proposition

By adminSunday - November 12th, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

It is always easier to say that someone doesn’t give a shit about you.
That they don’t care about you anyway.
It’s easiest to use those excuses to do things that you would never do to someone who “cares” about you.
It’s a scapegoat’s proposition.
I can do whatever I want because you don’t give two tugs of a dead dog’s cock about me anyway.

Sure.

But what if you did all those things…..

and then found out

they actually did care?

Not necessarily loved you.
But they certainly cared about you.
Enough to be hurt by the things you were doing.

Out of thoughtlessness.

People sometimes do give a shit about you.

So watch out.

Think.

Don’t just think.

That about that other person.

(this is not a note to you….this is a note to myself)

OPEN YOUR EYES AND TRULY SEE

I was never any good at telekinesis

By adminThursday - November 9th, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

There are times when things don’t need to be said, they are just understood.
There are times when a look in the eye says everything
And a spoken word will spoil it all.

So now hear me.

And hear my silence.

………….

Baby there ain’t enough room in this world…..

By adminTuesday - November 7th, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

I have nothing to say right now that isn’t a bunch of whining, self-pitying drivel.

I will merely leave you with these six words:

I am not a spring chicken.

Nose buried deep in Holl

By adminFriday - November 3rd, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

This will be a short post…why?
Because I have a lot of work to do.
I have every intention on going back to Toon town for Christmas.
My Dad should be out of hospital by then (providing no more crazy Lupus flare ups)
I want to give him a really cool Christmas present….
His story, my new comic book project:
Guardian (the book formerly known as Watchperson)
I want to put it on shelves of my local stores and then give a copy to my Dad.
One month
One book.
This is going to be one hell of a present.

Introspections and Reflections

By adminWednesday - November 1st, 2006Categories: Uncategorized

I will always fall short when I am being compared to a goddess.

I also want to thank the one person (yet again) last night for just being there even though I wasn’t a good conversationalist.

My honour will be restored when I am strong enough to restore it.

I end off with this very appropriate quote:
“The only way to know where you are from is to see where you are going and then work backwards.”
