Cats, Comics, Craziness!!

By adminSunday - March 25th, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

My cat has spend the morning attacking things that only he can see.
The most confusing part was when he began staring at my printer where the sheet feed is, then putting out a cautious paw to bat at it.
______________

So I just got back from the local comic book shop.
I was in there picking up the next issue of The Gunslinger and checking to see if the next issue of Fell is out when I saw this:

At first I thought it said Matt Wagner and I was all excited.
Then I realised it was my name.
It’s down on paper now.
I’m expected to perform and stuff.
GAH!!!

Convention or Bust

By adminThursday - March 22nd, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

I’ve got a table at the April 22nd Comicon!
Now I just have to get ready.
I need a better display than I had the last time.
I need promotional materials.
I need to make lists.
I need to take a deep breath and relax.

Cleansing

The cleaning of the house continues…

I got some perspective and was able to pull a bunch more books off the shelves. I have the book list but felt it best to cut it because it is insanely long. If anyone wants any of these books just comment.

St. Patrick’s Day is not necessarily a green day for all

By adminSaturday - March 17th, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

In the next paragraph I am going to talk about St. Patrick’s Day and my feelings on the day. If you feel strongly about it I suggest you may not wish to read it. If you want to hear my feelings then read on, by all means.

I realise that in some ways I’m merely repeating what Ellis says in his journal. But for me it’s more than just that. For many people, St. Patrick’s Day has turned into “just another excuse to get drunk day”. Many people don’t know about the political history of St. Patrick’s Day and that for some people (not just Pagans) it’s a day of mourning for them. The politics now-a-days has been swept aside and some people use today as a celebration of their heritage. If you want to celebrate your heritage, that’s fine. But I swear if I see one more small Asian girl decked out in green with a “kiss me I’m Irish t-shirt” there may be a homicide.

Cleaning house and body

By adminFriday - March 16th, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

It’s finally the weekend and I am sooo in the mood to get as much R & R as I can get.
But tonight, I need to get my house in shape.
It’ll happen.
I will it to be.

I’ve decided to succumb to the masses.
Give into the fact that sometimes it really is what is on the outside that counts.
I’m going back to the gym.
I’m going to pay everything up to date and then start going regularly.
Tone myself up a bit and get myself fit again.
Also, it’ll get me out of the house more often and meeting new people.
Never mind the obvious health benefits.
and other things.

The law of crap

By adminThursday - March 15th, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

I’m tired.
I’m frustrated.
I’m sure that my cat has been eating hallucinogens as he just tried to attack the TV.
It’s been a long week.
I take things off the shelves, I take things out of drawers.
But they don’t look any emptier.
It’s like all the crap I have is just waiting for me to take the other stuff out so it can fill the space.
If only all of my problems could be solved by cleaning up my apartment.
By the way, the book list will be sadly shorter than I would like.
I will post it once everything has been organised in my apartment.

The State of the Apartment Address

By adminWednesday - March 14th, 2007Categories: Uncategorized

Tonight was spent with quiet reflection about the current state of my apartment and what can be done about it. I’m beginning to think that a small incendiary device that will atomize everything within said apartment so that when reduced to smoldering ash it will fit nicely into a shoe box.

This is my plan and it is a good one.

Thank you all and good night.
